What is in the licence?

How does the install work?
One line in your components.json points the shadcn CLI at our registry with your key. After that, one command per component drops the file into your project.
Can I use it in client and commercial work?
Yes. Your own products and work for clients are covered. Redistributing the catalogue or using it to supply another registry is not.
Do I need a specific framework?
React with Tailwind CSS, installed through the shadcn CLI. Each component builds on Base UI for behaviour and carries its own styles.
Can I change the components?
Yes. Each install is a plain file in your project. Edit it, or hand it to your coding agent with the style's prompt.
Do I get updates?
Yes, for life. Reinstall a component to pick up its latest version.
Is it built for coding agents?
Yes.
